Intelligent animals we are, how does our physical behaviour respond in preparation for mass ecological and economic change.

BRIGHT FUTURE is the product of researching my own body in order to discover the scientific-fictions inhabiting it, shaping it, and moving it. My nervous system renders these gestures of anticipation into the realm of the actual, and I am left to question their reality. Speculative fictions collide with my sensible body, and something is left dancing in the fractured space.

BRIGHT FUTURE was developed in the early months of 2020 alongside preparations for the FUTURE GESTURES workshops held at the Centre for Contemporary Arts in mid March.
